Wild About Norfolk

Wild About Norfolk

Luke Broom-Lynne, Jon and Ad Clifton and myself had a successful weekend representing the Norfolk Moth Survey at the Wild About Norfolk show Norwich.
We had some excellent poster displays created by Luke, trapping equipment, books and specimens brought by Jon, and the Norfolk moths web site running for people to try. Sunday included a display about Cameraria ohridella including a Horse Chestnut branch from which several adults emerged during the day, which were looked at under a loaned microscope. Luke also emptied the whole of his previous night's catch into a net cage which created a lot of interest.
The star of the show... Percy the huge Privet-hawk moth caterpillar!
Jim Wheeler.
