Reasonably widespread.
Woodland, scrubland and chalk areas.
Grey with orange / yellow fringes and leading edge to wings. Female slightly larger and browner.
An orange form (f. unicolor) and very dark form (f. plumbia) also occur.Recorded in 64 (86%) of 74 10k Squares.
