Norfolk status
Scarce species.

Similar to Apotomis lineana, dorsal part of forewing slate grey, lacking dark greyish/brown suffusion seen in that species.

There can be variation in the ground colour and markings in some specimens so care is required.

Occurs in woodland, margins of osier beds, fens, banks of ponds and streams, hedgerows and open situations throughout Britain.
Recorded in Norfolk from VC27 and almost completely confined to the Norfolk Broads.
Recorded at Cranberry Rough VC28 in 2022 (J. Symonds) the only record in VC28 since 1874.

Recorded in 8 (11%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1874.
Last Recorded in 2023.
