Resembles a medium-sized E. gentianaeana. Broadly suffused apical area narrowing the band distad of the median fascia and a stronger dilated subterminal fascia lacking any violet tones. Some specimens may need to be retained for determination.
Well-drained uncultivated ground, such as waysides, embankments, chalk downs and quarries. Not many Norfolk records, and with the exception of one, all recent Norfolk records taken at the coast. Two Victorian records plus Sheringham 2000; Holme 2001; Snettisham 2001; Scolt Head 2002 and inland at Upwell 2009.
