Norfolk status
Day and night flying species.
Often confused with Pyrausta purpuralis. Diagnostic arrangement of the postmedian markings on the forewing. The spot near the dorsal edge is either absent or small and broken into three parts.

Can be common in gardens where marjoram and mint grows.

Recorded in 61 (88%) of 69 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1890.
Last Recorded in 2014.
