Local, more common in recent years.

Very distinctive species showing a noticeable blackish patch of raised scale-tufts.

The larvae feed internally in the berries of spindle, including garden forms, such as Euonymus japonicus.

Recorded in 10 (14%) of 69 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1993.
Last Recorded in 2015.
