Norfolk status
Rare.
A fairly small well-marked gelechiid with greyish-ochreous forewing ground-colour, showing short blackish streaks to the centre of the forewing and towards the sub-terminal areas.
An adventive species, first recorded in Essex in 1988, now established throughout south-eastern England, in parks and gardens, through accidental introduction on coniferous plants from southern Europe. Expanding its range due to the common use of cypresses in gardens.
First and second Norfolk records at a garden trap in Thetford in 2012. (L. Gregory, 27/07/12 & 08/08/12)Recorded in 1 (1%) of 69 10k Squares.
