Norfolk status
Ground colour white with distinct black marks in median fascia, black stria in tornal area and obvious rufous apical spot.

Nationally scarce, rare distinctive Tortrix, with only a few Norfolk records from the Brecks and Broads. Occurs on calcareous soils mainly in the southern counties of England.
The adult flies from dusk onwards in June - July. Larvae feed on the berries of Buckthorn.

Only five confirmed records from Weeting (Smith, 1991) Thetford (Musgrove, 2001) Upton Fen (NMS, 2002) Catfield (Hammond, 2010) and Foulden Common (Wheeler, 2010)
Old Victorian records from Denton and North Runcton.

Recorded in 6 (9%) of 69 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1874.
Last Recorded in 2010.
