Norfolk status No confirmed Norfolk records. Now believed that this species does not occur in Norfolk.
Very alike July Belle (luridata) usually occurring on acid heathland and rough pasture where the foodplant occurs.
Unfortunately all given criteria for separation from luridata, ground colour and position of discal spot which can be 'tear shaped', are not always constant therefore examination of the genitalia should be sought.
Please retain any possible specimens.
