Norfolk status
Local in mature Oak woodland and mature hedgerows, also appearing as a migrant.

Several Norfolk records in 1999 with moths recorded on the coast and inland, thought by some to be part of a large immigration.

Recent records from Stoke Holy Cross (A. Musgrove, 2004) Trowse (J. Sutton, 2011) and Hickling (M. A'Court 2013).

The larvae feed on Oak, often preferring epicormic shoots, they are also polyphagous on various herbaceous plants. Larvae was found at Foxley Wood in 2012 (M. Young), interestingly this is where the species was first recorded back in 1873.

Adults are attracted to sallow blossom.
