Norfolk status Local, predominantly along the coast in damp places, saltmarsh, sand-dunes, heathland.
Very variable in colour, with a yellowish-grey 'coastal' form recorded on the North Norfolk coast. The dark form (f. brunnea) being recorded inland. Smaller than the similar Clouded Drab with pointed forewing and darker brown central band.
Formerly only North Norfolk coastal records from 1997. (NMS No.55 1999) Found at Stoke Ferry and Lynford up to the 1950s, last recorded in the Brecks 1998.
