Norfolk status
Widespread.
Broad-leaved woodland, scrub, heathland and gardens.
Named after the small 'satellites' either side of the stigma. Marks vary in colour from white to orange and can be obscure, especially in worn individuals.
Overwinters as an adult.

Recorded in 65 (88%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1840.
Last Recorded in 2024.
