Norfolk status
Rare immigrant, unknown in Britain until 1958.

Old British records, two from Norfolk, by Peter Clarke: Sheringham on 28th May (2nd UK record) and 3rd June 1958. The first of these now in the Natural History Museum.

In 2006 there was an unprecedented influx with 16 UK records, which more than doubled the number of previous records.

Note distinct row of black dots on the outer edge of wing.
