The species is sexually dimorphic.
Male: Orange brown forewing with narrow dark central cross-band.
Female: Deep rosewood-brown colour with a small black, white ringed central dot.

Recorded in 40 (58%) of 69 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1873.
Last Recorded in 2018.
