Norfolk status
Less common and less widely distributed than Winter Moth.

Much larger than Winter Moth, generally paler in colour with contrasting pale hindwing. (see comparison photo).

Woodland, Heathland, Scrub and Orchards.
Most often found by torch light on heathland in November and December.

Recorded in 29 (39%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1888.
Last Recorded in 2024.
