Norfolk status Rare. Recent colonist, first recorded in Cornwall in 1959, now established and naturalised through accidental introduction via garden conifers throughout much of southern England from the Isles of Scilly to Kent, and South Wales. The species is spreading slowly north with recent Norfolk records. A single record from southern Ireland in 1993.
Peak emergence in August to September.
First Norfolk record in 1988. Not recorded again until 15/08/09 at Great Yarmouth.
