Rare.
Distributed locally in south-western England, Wales and parts of south-east England, this appears to be a declining species.

Confirmed record of single adult in 1991 at Holme Dunes.

Barrett [Trans. N&NNS, 1874] Leucania turca, Linn.
"Recorded at Foulsham by the Rev. T. H. Marsh. I have seen no Norfolk specimen".
