Norfolk status
Rare Immigrant/vagrant.
Nationally it is resident in the north of England and Scotland on moorland and woodland habitats from September onwards, hibernating over winter to re-appear in the spring.

Immigrant to Norfolk or large-scale wanderer. No confirmed modern-day records, and extremely difficult to confirm many of the old records.

Larvae noted at Stoke Ferry and Wissington in the 1940s, last noted around 1950 (J. Fenn)

"Taken at blossoms of the sallow, near Norwich, from the 25th March to the 10th April, in the spring of 1841, 1842 and 1843" - H.F. Farr (Zoologist, Vol 1, 1843)
