Norfolk status Scarce. One of three rather similar British species. Much larger pure-white markings on leading edge of forewing than other two similar 'pinions'. Elm feeder, suffered greatly by outbreaks of Dutch Elm Disease in the 1970s onwards.
Look for larvae in epicormic growth (shoots growing directly from trunk)
