Norfolk status Rare Immigrant. Species occurs in Central Europe.
Between 1948 - 1998 only 18 British records (inc Norfolk) mainly form woodland and open coastal habitats. Possibly resident for a short while in Kent during the mid 20th Century.
Up until 2023 only one Norfolk record from Swanton Abbott (VC27) on 16/06/1986. An influx of migrants in 2023 resulted in records from East Norfolk (M. A'Court) and near Holkham VC28 (A. Matthews, 11/06/2023)
