Rarely recorded in Norfolk.
Local in woodland throughout England and Wales.

Small Spring day-flying species with purple markings on a metallic golden base and orange/yellow head tufts.

Micropterix are unusual in that the adults have fully functional mouthparts, and feed on pollen.
