Status Widespread. Rich brown sub-basal fascia with irregular outer edge, median fascia rich brown mixed with black and fairly well defined, a dirty white, almost obscure blotch between the two fascia, subterminal fascia poorly marked with dark brown and purple but can be lost easily with wear.
Flies actively in late afternoon sunshine.
Found on open uncultivated and waste ground throughout the British Isles.
