Distribution and status poorly known owing to confusion with Eucosma hohenwartiana.
Formerly regarded as a diminutive form of E. hohenwartiana, but can be identified by larval foodplant (Common Knapweed in E. hohenwartiana and Saw-wort in E. parvulana).
New for Norfolk in 2019 at Litcham (K. Kerr, 10/07/19) followed by another the same year at North Elmham (D. Appleton, 22/07/19)
Verification Grade Comment: Only females can be safely separated from hohenwartiana.
