Status
Local, easily confused with the next species, R. pinicolana.

R. buoliana shows a large and triangular pre-tornal marking, often forming a continuous band across the forewing.

Found in pine forests and plantations, the larva bores into the base of a pine needle, later entering the lateral buds.
