Immigrant from mainland Europe to southern England, with recent records in Suffolk.
The adult resembles Acrobasis repandana but shows a characteristic ridge of reddish raised scales next to a white crossbar.
Recorded in Bradwell, Norfolk (VC25 East Suffolk) in 2020 (K. Knights, 14/08/2020) and old Suffolk records from Fritton Lake, Norfolk (VC25) in 1934.
