Resident on chalk downland and limestone cliffs, in the southernmost counties of England.
Increasing Norfolk records including Eccles in 2005 (N. Bowman, 29/07/05), Stoke Holy Cross in 2006 (A. Musgrove (21/07/06) and Overstrand in 2013 (G. Bond, 22/07/13).
New for VC28 in 2014 at Abbey Farm, Flitcham (R. Jones, J. Swalwell, 12/07/14) also Hockwold in 2014 (K. Puttick)
Records in more recent years from the Brecks suggest maybe a breeding population? Norfolk coastal records are of assumed migrants.Recorded in 37 (50%) of 74 10k Squares.
