Status Local. Flies in afternoon sunshine, later coming to light. Popularly named the Rhubarb and Custard moth.
Resident on chalk downland and limestone cliffs, in the southernmost counties of England.
Increasing Norfolk records including Eccles in 2005 (N. Bowman, 29/07/05), Stoke Holy Cross in 2006 (A. Musgrove (21/07/06) and Overstrand in 2013 (G. Bond, 22/07/13). New for VC28 in 2014 at Abbey Farm, Flitcham (R. Jones, J. Swalwell, 12/07/14) also Hockwold in 2014 (K. Puttick)
