Foodplant:   Aspen, poplars, sallows ad willows.

Common and widespread.
Brown and white markings show considerable variation.
Woodland, carr, fens, heathland and scrub.

Affectionately named the "Cow Moth" by some, due to the bovine shaped white markings on some specimens!
