Day-flying species feeding at tubular flowers such as Bugle, Honeysuckle etc.
Formerly Nationally Scarce, said to have decreased due to the decline of coppicing, maturation of dense stands of conifers and browsing of Honeysuckle by increased deer populations.
However, it has been very well recorded in recent years in Norfolk, with several sightings of adults feeding at flowers, especially in the Brecks.
