Norfolk Status
Widespread and common in Poplar plantations and woodland.

One of three British 'kittens' found in Norfolk. Very similar to Sallow Kitten, but usually larger, with the outer margin of the median fascia black and more evenly curved. This is not considered 100% reliable way to identify.

Females can be separated by their larger size (22-23mm), while males can be separated by their bright white hindwings (Sallow Kitten males hindwings are marked with a grey band.)

Recorded in 60 (81%) of 74 10k Squares.
