Woodland species in mature Oak and Beech woodland and Blackthorn scrub. Widley recorded in Norfolk in many habitats and gardens.
Characteristic shape of forewing, with straight leading edge, then curved towards tip.
Similar yellow forms of Dingy and Buff Footman are larger and fly later in the year.Recorded in 64 (86%) of 74 10k Squares.
