Thinly locally distributed in Norfolk.
A declining species in England and Wales in broad-leaved woodland, hedgerows and areas with Wych Elm.

Overwinters as an egg, with adult moths occurring in the Autumn, occasionally found feeding at Ivy flowers and overripe berries.

Recorded in 54 (73%) of 74 10k Squares.
