Widespread and common.
Extremely variable species found in fens, grassland, heathland, open woodland, scrub and gardens.
Formerly a single species, this has now been split into a complex of three, giving Lesser Common Rustic and Remm's Rustic (Not found in Norfolk) specific status.
Species cannot be reliably separated without reference to the genitalia.
