Sea-cliffs and rough ground near the coast and woodland inland.

Leaf-mine: Mine similar to Gracillaria syringella on the same foodplants, distinguished by its silver colour.

Unknown VC27 dot on historic map. Modern-day VC27 record at Catfield in 2019. (A. Beaumont, 20/04/2019)
Recorded in VC28 by John Fenn in 1961, and next at Mundford in 2020 (G. Geen, 04/07/2020) Very few additional records of adults in recent years.

Interestingly, no leaf-mine records in the database.
