One of the less well marked Caloptilia and very similar to some forms of C. betulicola, dissection is then necessary for identification.
Possibly triple brooded, hibernates, and can be found throughout the year.
Leaf-mine: May, July. Larvae feed at first in a mine, and later in a folded or rolled leaf of Alder.Recorded in 40 (54%) of 74 10k Squares. First Recorded in 1874. Last Recorded in 2024. |
