Local.
Formerly rare species, with several Norfolk records in recent years, including over 30 recorded in 2020.

Scattered records in the past, last recorded in Cambs in 1949. In 1982 rediscovered to be well established in the South Lopham area of Norfolk.

Two adults collected by day, resting on Oak tree trunks, at Syderstone Common (VC28) in April 2014. (D. Appleton, 24/04/14). Several more sightings in spring 2014. Three new site records in 2016. It has since been recorded at several sites in mid Norfolk.

Leaf-mine: similar but slightly larger than P. heegeriella

(=saportella)

Verification Grade Comment: Mine: Reared or puparium cremasters examined.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Mine: Moth needs to be reared and, in some cases, possibly dissected.
