Nationally scarce (Nb) in mature oak woodland in parts of the Welsh Borders, Lake District and Perthshire.

A strongly-marked species, with distinct darker-edged white strigulae against a golden-brown ground colour.

New for Norfolk at Stoke Holy Cross in 2018 (D. Jones, 26/07/18)
