Norfolk Status Becoming very scarce in Norfolk. Birch stumps. Found visiting flowers on sunny days. Distinguished by orange palps and orange-red suffusion at the base of the forewings.
Red-belted: White Palps Large Red-belted: Orange Palps
Please note both Large Red-belted (culiciformis) and Red-belted (myopaeformis) can be attrected by the same pheromone lures. Best determined by colour of the palps (see article below)
