A scarce and local species, occurring in southern and south-eastern England.

One of the more distinctive Yponomeuta, showing a patch of greyish suffusion in the centre of the forewing and another smaller patch at the base.

New for Norfolk in 2013 (not identified until Aug 2014) at Cley-next-the-Sea VC27. (I. Walker, 30/07/13)
