Status Scarce, local. Characteristic small size makes this moth unmistakable within the genus. Flies actively over heather in afternoon sunshine and again at sunrise.
Sweeping heather with a net is the easiest way to obtain both adults and larvae. Note Coleophora pyrrhulipennella can also be swept from Heather.
