Wide range of habitats in sheltered locations.
Only recorded from a couple of sites in Norfolk, including Foxley Wood and Mundford.

Similar to several other Elachista species, identification by dissection of the genitalia required.

Recorded at Foxley Wood in 2012 and 2016.
