Status Fairly widespread, one of two very common Metzneria in Norfolk.
Very similar to M. metzneriella, much lighter general appearance, especially in the apical and terminal areas, genitalia dissection may be required to confirm identification.
The larvae feed on the seeds of Greater and Lesser Burdock.Recorded in 53 (72%) of 74 10k Squares. First Recorded in 1990. Last Recorded in 2024. |
