Norfolk status

Local in woodland, gardens and parkland. Increasingly frequent in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and quite a widespread species now in south Suffolk.

New for Norfolk in 2017 when vacated mines where found on Field Maple at the BTO Nunnery Lakes reserve, Thetford. (A. Musgrove, 30/10/2017)

The larvae mine the leaves of Field Maple and Norway Maple from end of June-early July, August-early September.

Recorded in 3 (4%) of 69 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 2017.
Last Recorded in 2018.
