Large and distinctive species showing a white thorax and tegula, and large unmarked white dorsal area to forewing.

Locally widespread occurring in marshy places amongst willows, banks of streams, open woodland and occasionally parks and gardens.

Recorded in 54 (78%) of 69 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1874.
Last Recorded in 2019.
