Common.
Similar to Apotomis capreana but has a straighter median fascia, and lacks any black dots in the subterminal fascia.

Common and widespread throughout the British Isles in open woodland and margins of woods where birch is well established, and also heaths and hillsides where scattered trees and bushes grow.

Recorded in 54 (73%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1874.
