Norfolk status
Scarce.
Can resemble other species of Apotomis, especially A. turbidana and A. betuletana but identified by a more angulated median fascia, which is less indented on its outer edge, and black apex and cilia.


This species has a wide distribution throughout Britain, but is generally commoner in the north. Listed by Barrett at Kings Lynn and Merton pre 1900. Recorded by Col. A M Emmet, just over the border, at Santon Downham, Suffolk in the late 1980's.

Specimens must be photographed/retained for acceptance.
