Victorian records are thoroughly confused and list as Sericoris fuligana 'Recorded by Stephens' with no locality, although Barrett notes: possibly in error for Penthina carbonana. Dbl (fuligana. Hub) [E. pullana]? Barrett later notes that Wood's figure of fuligana which he records in Norfolk seems to represent Sericoris cespitana. [Celypha cespitana]
Historic distribution maps also show an unknown VC28 reference, although they show no reference for E. pullana!
