Norfolk status Occurs in open woodland, parks and gardens. Widely distributed and locally common in the south-eastern counties of England, becoming scarcer north and west. Very local in Scotland. Apparently unknown from Ireland. Larvae spin the leaves of the foodplant, living within beneath a white silken web.
