Norfolk status
Scarce.
Characterized by its large size, and dark general coloration of the forewing.

Locally common throughout the British Isles on heathland, mosses and open woodland. Only a hand full of Norfolk records dating from 1874 where it is listed by Barrett as being "Not Common".
Modern day records are mostly from the Brecks throughout the 1980's, with recent records at Holt 1990; Dersingham 1991; Swanton Novers 2001; Blakeney 2007.
