Norfolk status
Locally uncommon.
Open woodland, hedgerows, avenues, parks and gardens where poplars grow.

Similar to G. dealbana but shows a pink/ochreous suffusion to the white ground colour of the forewing (this can be lost with wear) and a straight edged basal patch.

First listed by Barret in 1874 at Denton, Yarmouth and Norwich. Several records in recent years.
